For our Disabled guests.
Finding an establishment that has disabled facilities is very difficult. We are well aware of the problems that people experience and as a consequence we have configured one of our units especially for you. This room can have 2 twin single beds or a queen sized bed to suit your needs. You only have to ask when you book. Many places advertise disabled facilities but do not take into consideration access to the office, grounds and of course the rooms and bathroom. Well that's been taken care of for you, as all access to your room is on ground level with no steps. This has been commented on by all our guests that have used these facilities.
Our disabled unit is also quite suitable for our elderly guests as they find all these extra touches quite handy and helpful
"The bath room"
This would have to be the most important in any unit as a person with a wheel chair must be able to maneuver it round into the shower, onto the toilet and of course up to the hand basin.
All the tap wear in the bath room has large handles for easy use and of course water mixes for hot and cold. the water in this unit is temperature controlled to the disabled standard so as people cannot be scalded accidentally.
We at all times make certain our guests have every thing they may require. Extra clean towels can be obtained by contacting the office.
The room layout and the beds
What you need we will endeavor to supply. The room has normally 2 single beds, but we can arrange to have a queen sized bed in the unit. However, we need to know about this when you book so as we can have the bed moved in and this work completed before your arrival.
All our beds are fitted with electric blankets and bedside lamps have switches so they can be operated from the bed.
The kitchen has been designed to the standard as well with all light switches and power points being at waits level The kitchen sink also has large tap wear and temperature controlled water so as not to scalded any guests.
